2020 Symposium

Symposium Details

The 3rd biennial sepsis symposium hosted through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign brought together international experts and opinion leaders from many different disciplines to discuss sepsis, including big data/machine learning, endotyping, novel devices, government funding, sepsis outside the hospital, epidemiology, industry diagnostics, and clinical trials.  Additionally, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this symposium brought people together to discuss how cutting-edge research in sepsis could potentially help with the crisis both in and out of the hospital.

In addition to panels with significant audience interaction with the speakers through Q&A, the symposium featured intimate 30-minute Networking Breakout Sessions with separate rooms for private discussions with individual speakers in small group settings.
